I’m first and foremost a 2-channel audio guy with a separate 2-channel system sharing L/R amplification with the HT system.

I would love to see the following.

A 300w/ch dual-mono 2 channel amp and 300w 1 channel mono amp based on the USA-made 300w amp design. They would have 2 sets of switchable inputs so that one could connect a pre/pro’s L and R and a separate stereo preamp’s L and R, without the need to switch cables, or use a fixed setting on the stereo preamp for HT, or use a stereo preamp with a HT bypass. They would have a smaller form factor to fit into racks/stands more easily than the big multi-channel amps.

They could be marketed as serious amps for folks who desire a high quality separate stereo system and HT system within the same rack, or just want a high power stereo or mono amp for stand-alone stereo or passive sub use. They could also be a high-power upgrade path for folks using a receiver – for example buy the 2 channel to amplify front L and R, then later add the 1 channel mono amp to amplify the C.

Yes, the 2200 already exists, but I’m thinking a beefier, more powerful, USA-made design (with 2 sets of inputs).

If Outlaw could pull off a 2 channel amp like this for around $1000-1200 and a 1 channel mono amp for around $600-700, I would have already purchased the 2 channel or two 1 channel amps.

I doubt ATI wants to build the amp or that Outlaw wants to market an amp at that price range but at least one other competitor offers something like what you want but it is made in asia.

Those price points are within the range that Outlaw markets today.

I believe products like the ones I suggested could help expand Outlaw's reach into the 2-ch market, as well as provide an alternate upgrade path for the HT market.

I feel that ATI-made 300w 2-ch and 1-ch amps from Outlaw would have great appeal.

Stick two 300w modules and two transformers in a 7125 case for the 2-ch amp. Stick one 300w module and one transformer in a 7075 case for the 1-ch amp. With slight mods to the cases and rear panels...easy peasy. grin

Go look at the ATI 3002 300 wpc to 8 ohms. $2495 for two channels when you can spend a few bucks more and get a 7500 and a 7125 which can be used to biamp a lot a speakers. Not seeing where the price point is the best bang for the buck. Why buy two channels at 300 wpc when you can get 12 channels and 400 wpc biamped from the 7500. I suggested a while back to build a hybrid amp with two 7900 channels 3 7500 channels and 2 7075 channels. Very flexible but I ended up with a 7500 and a 7125 which is even better and $1000 cheaper than just a 7900.

The ATI 3002 retails for $3000 and the 3007 retails for $6000.

If the same price ratio applied to the Outlaw 300w amp made by ATI, a 2-channel amp would be around $1700, so pretty far off from the $1000-1200 number in my first post.

So, I see your point - for less money, one could get the 7500 and biamp the L/R channels, if one had speakers with that capability and if one's rack could accommodate the 7500.

So when are you ordering the 7500?

Haha, I was considering it, but it would not fit in my rack and I'm not buying a new rack.

I bought 2 NAD C275's, which I will run monobridged for L/R. I'm using my existing amps to power my center and surrounds.
