Has any one ever had any experience comparing a Outlaw 7500 or 7700, against a Halo A52 five channel 125 watt amp, using the same sources, and source material. I purchased a demo full warrantied A52 10 days ago. The price on it with tax and delivery was within $50 of what a B-stock 7500 would cost. The Halo was $50 cheaper. I am very impressed with the Halo amp for both music and home theater. It seems to have more power than the Marantz MM9000 5x150 amp it is replacing in my system. My room is only 1600 cubic feet, and the Halo has more than enough power. Would the extra 75 watts of the 7500 give it an advantage ?? I am thinking of taking the 7500 for a test drive and comparing the two in my system. Of course that would mean I would have to repack one of them. I have a bad disc in my back. LOL Just wondering if the 7500 would add any sonic benefits with it's extra 75 watts ??

I have both the 7125 and the 7500 and both are beast for power. Here is a review of the 7125 which mentions the A52 as a more expensive alternative. The 7500/7700 amps are evn bigger and have XLR connectors.

Also, the 7125 has no detachable power cord, as well as no XLR inputs. On the other hand, the 7125 will provide 7 channels of output. The only fair comparison would be of the Outlaw 7500 to the Parasound A52, since they both are available at almost identical price points.

It is fair to compare the two because they are similarly rated for power. If you need a detachable power cord and XLR connections then the 7125 is out. I have yet to hear anyone tell me a valid reason for needing an XLR connection other than they appear to be more desirable for some reason. Why a detachable power cord comes into the equations is also beyond my limited experience.

I have a Parasound Halo A21 and a 7125, and I am quite happy with them both. They are in different systems running different speakers, so it's hard to compare the sq. I think the A21 gives a better soundstage and better resolution of mids and highs, though that could be the other gear in the chain speaking. The class A operation for the first 10 watts is nice, as are the looks. IMO, you can't go wrong with either line depending on your budget and needs.
