On paper it appears that the Yamaha RX-A1010 and RX-A2010 are pretty comparable to the Denon 3312 and Marantz 6006. The elephant in the room is Yamaha's YPAO which some like and some don't. The Yamaha 2010 has received some very good reviews with respect to music and audio.
If you follow Amazon, the prices go up and down $100.00 on a regular basis. This morning the A1010 was $899 and the Denon 3312 was $999.00 but now they have both gone back to $999 and $1099.
I'm still surprised that Yamaha still offers legacy connections such as S-Video which is a great thing for some.
Especially us Outlaws that are still using "antiques". (Just kidding Scott and Pete, we're trying to keep it light around here)
