Johnnewjersey Deputy Gunslinger Registered: 12/16/11 Posts: 1	I am unable to get my computer running Windows 7 ultimate to recognize my Outlaw 990. I am using a usb connection. Any ideas other than using another computer? Thanks

acacia1602 Deputy Gunslinger Registered: 10/25/06 Posts: 9 Loc: Phoenix, AZ	Welcome to the club. My MacBook running OSX Lion has issues too. The MIDI setup doesn't recognize the 990 as capable of 96k/24bit. My support inquiry has gone nowhere.

XenonMan Desperado Registered: 04/08/08 Posts: 2676 Loc: Columbus,North Carolina	Try setting Windows 7 to the XP emulator mode. I hate windows 7 more than any other version that has come out. For the MacBook I have no idea, but it sounds like the Mac needs a driver or something. acacia1602 Deputy Gunslinger Registered: 10/25/06 Posts: 9 Loc: Phoenix, AZ	Turns out that the USB input is not capable of higher resolution than the rebook standard. You're limited to 16 bit / 44.1Khz The good news, however, is that my Macbook Pro has a toslink output in the headphone jack. Clever! So I can run TOSLINK to the 990 optical input and get my 24bit/96Khz resolution after all!
