We have been looking at moderately priced speakers to replace our aging AE P5 home theater setup in our family room.
Long story short, our requirements in order of importance are:

1. The front/center/surround speakers' color must be white due to WAF.
2. The front/center/surround speakers cannot be larger than a Kleenex box also due to WAF.
3. The front/center/surround speakers can be driven directly by an amp/receiver (not by some proprietary amp on some subwoofer unit).
4. The front/center/surround speakers must provide close to full range sound.
5. A matching subwoofer will help but not important.

We have narrowed our search down to Cambridge Audio’s MINX MIN20. It is very small (not much bigger than a soda can) and is supposed to produce close to full range sound. It can be driven directly by an amp/receiver at 8ohm/87dB. However we are somewhat put off by the price tag. At $159 each by no means the MINX20 is inexpensive. 5 of them will cost a good $800 + extra cost if we want better mounting hardware.

While we are still on the fence, it makes me wonder if Atlantic Technology's H-PAS design/technology can be shrunk down to apply to much smaller speaker cabinets. The resulting products could satisfy applications where space is at premium and WAF determines a successful outcome all the while without sacrificing too much sound quality. Just a thought.

Take a look at Axiom audios M2 speaker. It is larger than the MIN20 but it is likely better suited to home theater and music duties. It is available in white. It is about the same cost but will be a bargain in the long run when you don't have to replace them with better sounding units.

There's also the new Atlantic Tech AT-2 (which is a bookshelf with H-PAS), but it's pricey.

Thanks gonk. Besides being out of my price range, the AT-2 is also too large for my requirements. I hope Atlantic Tech will produce a satellite version perhaps AT-3 or AT-4?
