Greetings,

I’m writing about the following: I use an isolation transformer and when I’m not listening to the system, I power off the transformer, meaning everything gets powered off. I’ve just started using the built-in tuner, as my external tuner is not working. When I depower the system, all my tuner presets are lost, the next day. Is there a replaceable battery, in the 990, that will provide the power to retain the presets for me?

thanks,

John

I am not aware of an internal battery but the system does store the settings without power for long times. I usually have my 990 depowered for months at a time and it hasn't lost its memory presets on FM stations or it configuration settings.

I've been thinking about what you've written and the truth is that the 990 retains all the other setup settings, despite overnight loss of power, but it does not retain fm presets (which is somewhat odd, if you think about it). Does anyone know how this works?

thanks,

John

Are you using the Auto search function to save your presets or are you saving them manually. Do each of your stations indicate they are in memory. If the problem persists I would call Outlaw and ask for help.

I've tried both the auto search function and have manually input the presets; the test was whether or not they worked and they did, until the following morning. I'll double check. Thanks!
