It has also lead to consensus on height speaker placement. Dolby suggests directly above the main L/R speakers (typically +/-30 degrees), adding that better results can be had by spreading them out a bit (+/-45 degrees). The latter recommendation is the same as Audyssey's as well as DTS' upcoming Neo:X. So yes, it is a little easier to accept (and implement) the idea now.
