With all the delay in a 'new' model that I would replace my 990 with I was wondering if anyone knows of any warranty extension options?

I just realized mine probably sailed passed the 5 year mark in December 2010, if not already. I've only (knock on wood) had one issue that was taken care of a few years ago but would hate to be 'forced' into buying something else while I'm (im)patiently waiting for an HDMI switching model so I don't have to drag out two remotes when I switch from bluray to satellite etc.
