I wanted to post here because while reading threads in this forum I came across a few threads where some of you were integrating 2 channel preamps into your AV systems. After reading one of the threads I started looking into the Bottlehead forum and ultimately built a modified Bottlehead Tube Preamp.
I modified it to include a HT bypass setting, I used momentary pushbutton swithes along with some DPDT latching relays to choose the input.
I have also added the Sweetest Whispers package, the Anticipation package, and additional output (for sub switching)and last but not least, some Auricap output caps (big positive impact on the sound). The result is an inexpensive sweet sounding preamp.
This is my first exposure to tubes, and although I have only been using it a couple of weeks, I can tell you it is a keeper. A big improvement over my Yamaha reciever. I am driving 2 M200's with it.
Take a look, see if it looks...familiar! Thanks to all of you for a great forum!
