I wanted to share something pretty cool with my Outlaw Audio OAW3 and when I stream music from the internet with it to my 2.1 channel stereo system.

Often I use the OAW-3 to send music from my Dell laptop to my stereo system. Sometimes the source is youtube, amazon MP3 etc etc. Now in my stereo system my amp has numeric wattage meters or displays. When I turn up the volume on my system while playing music from the OAW-3 the meters go nuts. Depending on the song and volume I'll see wattage go from .02 watts up to 7 watts with the OAW-3. If I play that same song from my Oppo player the meters on the amp will just say .02 or maybe .04.

When I want to give my amp a bit more of a workout I'll send material via the OAW-3.

I wonder if there is some kind of infrasonic noise being picked up by the wireless connection. Not good if it ends up hurting your electronics or speakers...

I use my OWA3 to drive headphones when I do yard work around the house. It could just be that the output is higher than what the OPPO is. That is one reason that most people perceive that CDs sound better than MP3s. In all instances, the louder music always sounds better.
