Has anyone experienced this problem: the audio drops out when playing loud music. I am using the 7700 to drive paradigm 8 ohm studio series speakers.

It sounds like the amp may be going into protection mode for some reason. I drove older Studio 60's with a 7500 without incident, but I was in a medium-sized space (maybe 3000 ft^3) and I don't know how we are defining "loud." There could be a wiring issue causing the unit to go into protection mode, although it would be unlikely for such an issue to only arise at high listening levels. Have you contacted Outlaw Support yet?

Please check two things:

1. Your speaker connections

If there is just a strand of wire on the wrong terminal it will cause a short and go into protect mode at high volumes.

2. Ventilation

Is the amp well ventilated so that it does not overheat?

I suspect a hard to detect speaker wire short. 7700's are tanks and those speakers will not shut down this amp unless there is a fault condition.
