I apologize for the noob question, but what is the workaround to decode Blu-Ray (DTS-HD, etc.) audio with the 990? I've searched and found nothing...there's probably a reason (noob). smile Thanks for any insight.

The workaround is to get a player with multichannel analog output and onboard decoding for DTS-HD and TrueHD. There are a number of examples from Panasonic, Sony, and others, but if you look at my BDP-83 setup guides you will get the general idea. Those guides can also be applied to the BDP-80 as well as the BDP-83; other players will have different setup menus and are likely to use different names for the settings.

Thanks Gonk! I did see the Oppo setup guide and that makes sense. I appreciate the quick response!
