My current system looks like this:
- Ascend Acoustics CBM-170 L/R mains
- B&W 600 series center(the one w/black
drivers)
- RA Labs(RDL Acoustics) Micromonitors for
the surrounds mounted on homemade 5 ft.
oak stands
- PSB Subsonic 3 subwoofer
- Outlaw 1050 receiver
- Pioneer 563a DVD/SACD/DVD-A player
- Pioneer 985(?) LaserDisc combi-player
- Toshiba Hi-Fi VCR
- Yamaha CDC-715 CD changer(similar to
Gonk's old one)
- JVC 20" TV #AV-20D304 picked up used to
replace broken 27" Panny.

I run Taralabs Prism 2+2 speaker wire for the mains, Apeture wire for the center, and some generic 18Ga. wire for the surrounds. My sub is linked up using a Soundstream stereo patch cord, Y'd to the 1050's LFE. I just recently replaced my mish-mash component video hookup with RCA Digital series component cables from The Home Depot. I wish I could utilize the 1050's 6.1 processing, but room constraints (and WAF)won't allow it. My system, like a lot of us out there, is a constant work-in-progress.

After checking out your site and the system you have, I'm jealous! But thank's for the approval.

Just a general upgrade question.

I am thinking of an upgrade(BIG surprise, huh!) Here's what I'm thinking:

1) A new center channel speaker from Ascend to better match my main's.

2) A new sub with updated performance.

3) Save up for a while and buy a bigger, flat-screen tv.

Just seeking your thoughts, suggestions and comments!

Thanks!

I agree - the TV upgrade will offer the most bang for the buck, even if it will involve waiting longer.

Just to update my info.....

The PSB Subsonic III has been replaced with an Onix Rocket UFW-10, and....

the RA Labs surround speakers will be, next week, Axiom QS8's.

No TV upgrade yet....too transitional right now, and prices should drop by the time we all have to go digital.

So, I have most of the major internet-direct companies represented....Outlaw, AV123, Ascend Acoustics and Axiom!! If I've left anybody out, sorry!
