I noticed that the Model 997 has already been "reconciled to the dustbin of history," the Discontinued Products area. That leads me to ask how much longer those of us with Model 1070s have up here near the top of the Forum list.

I guess I should count my blessings. My 1070 still keeps on working. Every once in a while it makes a noise that almost sounds like a digital clocking error..I just turn it off and back on, and it seems to reset itself. I don't have a PC (mac only), so I have no way to update the firmware if it needs it. I wonder if I can send it back to MA and have it given a 'tune up'. I sure do like the way it sounds.

They'd probably do it Dave, but just for reference I sent mine in for work last week and shipping was $46 - one way from New Mexico. It might be cheaper and easier to find a friend with a laptop to download it with.
