Does anyone else have this problem? I am noticing no affect on bass or treble performance when I increase or decrease the settings using the tone button in neither stereo or dolby modes. It doesn't work from the on screen menu either. I tried it with the mains and center set to large and sub to no and it still doesn't work. I would appreciate any suggestions on how I can fix this. Also, is it correct that you can't adjust the sub settings from the on screen menu when in stereo mode? I can go all the way up and down the volume scale and have no affect on the sub, it only works when I'm in multi channel mode. Is this normal for the 990?

Maybe I should ask the question this way.....is the tone control bass trim designed to affect the volume of the sub when in stereo mode?
