Greetings,

I've changed my setup, considerably, so that I'm in the habit of shutting down the entire system, at the end of each day. My question and wonder is: how long can the 990 be powered off (not standby, but shut down) before it will lose its settings? I assume it's much like a computer, with a battery that retains settings in a cmos type chip?

thanks,

John

I believe that the settings are in non-volatile memory, and can thus last almost indefinitely. My Model 950 spent close to 11 days without power in 2003 without incident, and I think that my 990 kept its settings when I shipped in to Huntsville last year (which was an even longer duration without power).
