They haven't finalized the price yet, I wouldn't expect preordering until that's happened.
I'm pretty sure the price is finalized: $1399, with a $200 discount for owners of 990's and 970's (and I think a $100 discount for owners of 950's).

Hey, but with v1.4 they're enabling ethernet! Wait...what?
Yeah, it's pretty rude of me to want compatibility testing or strict and well-defined standards to implement from HDCP. :p And don't even get me started on HDMI v1.4. It will bestow upon us ethernet (although no explanation yet as to how ethernet's star topography will be integrated or why we want to replace a cable that offers a functional locking connector with one that doesn't), extra video bandwidth that no standards yet exist to make use of (which goes well with the deep color they added in v1.3 that no standards can support natively), and yet another small connector design (which replaces the small connector they created in v1.3).
