Back with a basic question. My Sony DVD changer also plays CDs. The salesman told me that all DVD players play CDs also. My question is: If I had a CD player that can only play CDs, would I get better sound from my music CDs? The Sony was about $180.00 at Circuit City. My fronts are Paradigm Monitor 9s; I'm using an HK AVR-230 as the pre/pro and Outlaw MBlocks for power. Hope this question makes sense.
Thx in advance for your comments.

Just the fact that a player can also play DVDs will not make it inferior for playing CDs, all else being equal. The performance on either medium really is player dependent, with some players being better than others. Read the reviews and shop around.
