Hey everyone,

I'm 15 at the moment and I will be 16 in a few days. I have been saving up money so I can buy a HT receiver. I could have already gotten one but it would have been something like a 300 dollar Onkyo TX-DS494 and I just wanted something better. So as you may or may not have saw in one of my other posts I looked at a lot of different A/V receivers and I finally decided to go with the Outlaw.
So in few days I will order the 1050 and then I just wait a few days. However the downside is I will have to run the 1050 in 2channel mode for a while because I don't have enough money at the moment to buy the center and 3 surrounds.

Oh yeah I almost forgot, I have a question about 1050. You see I heard when you run the 1050 in 2channel mode the power output goes from 65 watts X 2 to 75 watts X 2, I was just wondering if this is true or is this a lie.

Thinks for the help,
Chris

If I remember correctly the 1050 pumps out 70 watts in stereo mode. I'm not really sure about simulated center channel(phantom mode) though. This is what mode you'd probably want to watch movies in until you get your proper center and surrounds.
