Love my 7700 amp! After reading all the various threads on the 997... I am STOKED! When is this available? Specific date; if any please!

We don't know when it will be out. Guesses are an option, but certainly nothing to take to the bank. Having said that, here's a guess...

Based on the announcement, the 997 will trail behind Sherwood's R-972 receiver by a couple months. Since the latest word on the R-972 (which has been victim of extensive delays) was suggesting a possible release some time in March, I'd say that we shouldn't expect the 997 to ship to consumers any sooner than Memorial Day - and that's if all goes just right. Like I said, though, that's all supposition.
