Hello, I posted last night about not getting much bass through the speakers like what I had gotten through my older Sony AV320 50x2. My new question is, are you able to bypass the crossover on the 1050 and just run straight amp to your speakers without it being filtered at 80hz ? Reason why I ask is because I just realized today that my Sony does not have a crossover and it's letting all the lower hz get to the speakers. My RT 55i's go down to 40hz, so why would I want to cut them off at 80hz ?? I could see maybe if I had a set of Bose Acoustimass with the little speakers.. The RT55i's have 2 6 1'2" woofers and I get quite a good punch out of them when they're not crossed over at 80hz. If anyone knows any info about this let me know. I don't want to cross them over. I just want to send them a straight signal from the amp. This is why it sounds better through the old Sony. The RT55i's can reach lower hz when doing this way.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

I believe setting the fronts to large will send the full signal to your fronts. However, you already stated you tried that and it didn't fix the problem, so I don't think the issue is there.

Thanks for the reply. As you can imagine, I'm really anxious to either send this thing back ,or get a solution from Outlaw Monday. I was just watching a movie with it ( VHS) and it seems to be ok, but just can't live with a 179.00 (at the time) stereo sounding better at the moment.

Jay,

Just to make certain here. You have your fronts set to large and the sub is off, is that correct?

yes sir ! To tell you the truth, I've tried it both ways and there was no difference which is starting to lead me to believe maybe something is wrong with this thing.
