While they spend thousands on several components and two speakers, we spend thousands on more speakers then they have components. Ok ok, so a little over dramatic. But AV technology definitely can influence a drug-like addiction.

Simplicity in the audio realm surely has it's perks, and the trend is really moving away from that. I do hope the 997 becomes a successful culmination of ten Outlaw years of pre/pro development and manufacturing, and ends up not being obsolete after the standard three to four year computer life span.
