Speaker stand for LCR?

I have 3 LCR's and two BLS on the way. I'm getting rid of two tower speakers that are my current fronts, and I'll need to use stands for the L and R LCR's.
I have a Bell'O FP4850HG for my AV stand, so something in black would be nice. The ones they make don't seem that great to me.
Any recommendations for speaker stands?

Congratulations on your leap into Outlaw Speakers!
I don't know your room situation and understand that the Center LCR will be out from the wall about a half a foot on the Bell'O stand but...you might test the R & L LCR on your front wall first. The boundary adjustment switch allows you to place these against the wall at the optimum 39" height. The Outlaw mounting brackets are fairly cheap and free up stand floor space. The back of the BLS must be away from the wall with their rear firing ports but the LCRs are fine mounted against the wall. I'd suggest you test the speakers in different temporary positions before investing in stands.
Very curious to hear a review after you break these new puppies in. I made a similar move from tower speakers and enjoy the solid consistency of sound around the room.

I am expecting a pair of 30" stands to arrive today to replace the stands I built from MDF and all-thread back in the spring. I ordered them from Stands and Mounts and was able to identify half a dozen stands that could work, then let my wife pick her favorite of that bunch. There may be something there that matches your AV stand.

The StudioTech Ultras in cherry - these . I also considered the Lovan Affiniti II, Sanus Steel Foundations SF30, and Plateau ST.

Kubrickfan - I'm renting right now, and I plan on moving in less than a year so the wall mounting may be more trouble than it is worth. Once I buy a place, wall mounting definitely would be the way to go. I will post a review to the best of my abilities, keeping in mind I'll be moving from a system that contains two DCM Timerames and a KLH center up front and a set of old Mission 761's for the rear surrounds. I think the new speakers will be just a LITTLE improvement...LOL.
Gonk - I don't have a wife to satisfy yet, though the lady currently interviewing for the job calls me crazy every time I talk about home theather (she has informed me that that kind of money would buy A LOT of clothes). Anyway, I'll check out some of those. I found a pair of Lovan Affiniti 29" stands on Amazon that I like.
Can anyone comment on how important it would be for the stands to be lead shot/sand fillable with the Outlaw LCR's? I only have the 1050 right now, but eventually I'd like to upgrade to the 997 and a power amp...

I'm digging these , especially with my stand right now. Will 32" stands be too tall for the LCR's? I know the manual recommends 30" stands....

Here's some advice from Brian Cheney on speaker stands (copied from their European site): How to improve your stand 1. Make sure it is the right height. Usual stand height of 50cm may be OK, but might be taller or shorter for you, depending on your height and/or your seat height. 2. Add weight. A steel sheet on the stand on the speaker, weights on top of the speaker, sand in the stand frame. 3. Add a baffle. A "beard" installed on the front of the stand, top to floor, vastly improves the sound. Almost any material will work, even cardboard. It's puzzling that manufacturers turn out open frame stands at all. The cavity below the woofer destroys bass response, as Paul Klipsch pointed out 35 years ago. Adding a front baffle the same width as the speaker and extending from the top of the stand to the floor gives the bass a boundary to travel along and increases efficiency below 100Hz up to 6 dB. http://www.vmpseurope.com/aboutVMPS.htm

Looks sweet! Do I see a fund for the 997 in the background?

Haha...btw, the speakers arrived on Friday. Initial tests look promising, but I had to leave for a trip to visit the family for Thanksgiving, followed by a week in Dallas for work.
I'm going to let my girlfriend break them in a little, and wait to really get them setup and tested out when I get back.

Hi Gonk:
Speaker w/stand look great. How did you safely mount the BLS speakers on the StudioTech Ultras US 30" speaker stands? Did you use gravity, velcro strips or ?. I am in process of buying these Ultra stands to use with my BLS speakers and any info would be appreciated.
