When I received my lmf1 plus, there was a foam plug in oue of the ports. Am I supposed to leave it in there or should I remove it? Also, I don't remember in which of the ports it was in, If i were to leave it in, please guide me to which port I should leave it in.

You are supposed to use the port plug if you have the switch on the sub's amp set to "bass extension" and you are supposed to remove the plug if you have the switch set to "max output." It doesn't matter which port you plug if you are running in "bass extension" mode.

ok i am going to try it. I had it on max output before, I will give it a shot on bass extension to see if there is a difference.

Whats your opinion on this matter? Does it make a difference in the quality of the base? Can you hear down to 17 htz?

I have another one for you? Should I buy a sms? I don't understand what it does. Is it only for the subwoffer or all the speakers?

I can't speak to what difference it makes - I have the LFM-1 (same sub but without the port plug and extension/output switch). I'd be curious to know what you think, though. How deep it will go depends on your room. The human ear can't actually hear below 20Hz, but if it maintains output that low you'll still feel the bass.

The SMS-1 provide equalization for the subwoofer only. It's of greatest benefit in spaces that have acoustical problems (either dips or peaks in frequency response, although like any EQ it's best with peaks) that can't be resolved by adjusting sub placement or adding acoustical treatment. If you're considering an SMS-1, I'd recommend reading through the Outlaw Guide .

I have a small room with concrete walls all around. I am considering room treatments at the moment. I don't know if it will make a difference in my sound. My room is 5 meters by 4.5 meters. I put an 8x10 carpet and very big leather furniture.

What do you think?

A space like that is a bit of an acoustical challenge, so the SMS-1 could certainly be a useful tool. My room is pretty acoustically friendly, and the SMS-1 made a detectable difference even in that case.

Ok i started to make tests with my lmf-1 plus. In my space, I tried with the port pluged and unpluged with bass extension on or off. Well my best results was with bass extension on and both ports unpluged. then the port is pluged, the speakers clips for some reason. I guess that it cannot push enough air through just one port. my room pic 1

those pictures are from before I received my outlaw equipment and a few things have changed. I no longer have front wall speakers or the klipsch subs. The lmf-1 in sitting onder the window now.

I've also changed the blinds to horisontal 2 in white blinds because the block the sun better and create some diffusion.

Did you look in the Manual?
When I got my LFM-1 Plus a few weeks ago there was an insert paper in the Manaul that explained it.

I can't find that paper. can someone post it or me, or can we have outlaw add it as a download to the lmf1plus pdf?
