I went about this kind of bassackwards, but it looks as if it worked well. Picked up my Sanus 6 shelf rack last winter and though a bit pricey, it looks elegant and is practical. It has the extra inch in depth (19" usable) than many other racks I looked at. Then I jumped on the Integra DTC 9.8 bandwagon and picked that up a month ago. I've been reading about the 7500 for some time, thinking I should buy it. I was one happy camper who was glad he waited because it went on sale, along with free shipping, and it then became a no-brainer - I ordered it yesterday. I haven't heard (read) of anyone who has paired the 9.8 with the 7500, and will let you all know how that goes.

Yippee-yi-o-ki-ay, I'm an outlaw!

Sounds like you are putting together a nice setup. We'll look forward to hearing what you think of the 9.8/7500 partnership. What speakers will you be driving?

I have older Def Tech 2002 bi-polar fronts, their CLR2300 center, with Paradigm (380?) bi-polars for surrounds. Was using a Marantz SR18 receiver, and will probably keep it because I can't sell it for anywhere near its value. Recently I bought an Oppo 980 and noticed considerable improvement in separation from an older Sony player. With the 9.8 doing True HD and DTS M/A decoding, I'm thinking of getting a good price on the already obsolete Panny BD30 player. Like I said, this may be the bassackwards way of doing things, but I can't afford to upgrade the speakers, and I do love those powered subs in the mains.

I haven't moved to a platform like your 9.8 yet, but the BD30's done a nice job for me.
