Personally I would never purchase a type of speaker that I had not listened to myself. It's THE most critical part of any system and the one that is most susceptible to "user preference". I would not even trust a friend who had heard and liked them. Gotta hear them yourself. If you are the type of person who would buy a car without test driving it, then you can disregard my advice.
