just womdering if anybody can tell me about OutLaws B-Stock

Ex. Warranty, are they returns, refurbished ???
any info would be Great

My understanding is that the B-stock are a combination of 30-day returns and perhaps some refurbs. They carry the full Outlaw transferrable warranty (which for the amps is five years), and the folks that have picked up B-stocks over the years have been consistently pleased - there have been a few with cosmetic scuffs, but most are indistinguishable from new stock.

I purchased my 770 B-stock about the time they introduced it and it is still great to this day. Carries the same warranty. I was expecting it might come with some scratch and dent, but it was new as a cherry. But, b-stock carries the same 30 days satisfaction and warranty, your pretty safe trying it out.

So the Outlaw B-Stocks are fully quality checked and tested? I just got burned by a b-stock offering from another amp company. They told me it was fully checked and just a return but when I powered it up after connecting it to my speakers there was a very loud hum from the left channel only. I did all the ground loop tests and found the problem to be with the amp.

I bought a b-stock 7500. It was shipped from the factory in California (which surprised me...I thought b-stock would be shipped from Outlaw). It looked new to me when I got it (I couldn't find a mark on it) and I've had no issues with it. I'd purchased b-stock before from Outlaw and everything was received in working order and in very good cosmetic condition as well. I wouldn't have a second thought in purchasing any b-stock from Outlaw again.

I bought a 990 and 7700 B-stock combo. The 7700 shipped from California and the 990 from Rhode Island. Both had labels on them that said they were opened for quality control inspection and were perfect appearing units - not one blemish. They looked brand new to my wife and I, and they've been performing flawlessly for 5 months.


Coincidentally, I'm a Quality Control Engineer, so I guess these were great units for me to get.

Thanks everyone for chiming in. When I'm in the market for a new amp I'm definitely heading over for Outlaw B-stock. Hopefully when I buy from there my bad luck with B-Stock/Scratch and Dent will end. JD

I've always heard good things about Outlaw's B-stock. Hopefully you'll have a similar experience if you pick up a B-stock amp.
