wow this amp is great! however, I need to remove the feet so it will fit on my stand. the stand is made with perforated metal shelves. Do you think that having the bottom rest on the shef will have a deletirious effect in any way? any thing special i need to concern myself with when removing the feet?

The bottom is solid, so there shouldn't be ventilation issues from removing the feet, but I'd still want to have at least supports of some sort if only because the faceplate projects slightly below the bottom plate of the cabinet.

Have you looked to see how the feet are attached? Can they be removed without taking the top off of the amp?

it looks like torx screws. I only need a 1/2 inch, so I should be able to put some small rubber stick on feet under it. THANKS

It's just plain hex, not Torx.
I should now, feeling sort of a Taking Apart 7700 Expert now (grin), since it's lying here in a heap in a container...

Right, just hex. took the feet off and put on some felt pads fits perfect.
