Just disassembled my entire 7700 final, and somebody immediately took all the space.
I must say, the sound is much more natural now, albeit the only sounds I heard are "miow" and "prrr".

I was surprised at the excellent build- all Sanyo transistors used and professional module boards, furthermore, even the cabinet metal is very thick and stiff, and the front panel is very heavy indeed!

So here I am, on my quest for using the unit on 230V.
Will keep you posted!

My cats would probably be fighting over that perch (although Cyrus tends to prefer to sit on top of big boxes, so he might let Hagrid have it). On the bright side, even with the cat in there it'll be easier to carry than it was before. smile

Yes Gonk,
It was a hell of a fight getting it up on my spiral staircase, and even more so getting it down again from my little lab.
My wife noticed the dents and splinters in the woodwork...
So all work needs to be done in the kitchen now...
I'm still amazed at the build quality of the modules, pure quality and believe me- I've seen a lot of sloppy designs even from highend manufacturers!
Biggest problem after the conversion will be the weight, I don't dare to put it on the bottom glass shelf of my rack...it has proven to hold the 31kg of the Marantz, but 45 ?

Some people would probably be interested in pictures. However, as I recall reading catalogs, the wire sleeving used is fiberglass braid which almost no one else uses to save money. When I see the pictures of the Sherbourn inside and rear amp product it yells Made in China.

And I rarely ever see anyone use the big RCA jacks that these amps use.
