No cables were available to take the 12 volts from the Din 5 #3 pin out of my DC-1 to connect to the 7500. Steve could not find any either. So I went to Radio Shack and got a MIDI cable and a 3.5 mm mono cable. It turns out that a MIDI cable has 5 pin DINs ends. I cut both cables in half. I used an ohm meter to find out which pin was switched pin (#3) and ground (#1 or #2). I connected the cables and voila my amp is now switched by DC-1.

Cost =$15 for the cables.

Nicely done - thanks for the information, as it certainly may come in handy for others down the road.

Now that I have this working I realize that there will be at least two on and offs a day-every day.

Does any body know the number of on/offs the relays in the 7500 is rated for. 10 years gets to at least 7000 on offs.

Am I better off leaving the amp on?

What is current drain when left on and what are the trade offs.

I haven't heard of anybody having a relay failure in an Outlaw amp, and the 750's been on the market for the better part of seven years now. You should be fine.
