I'm really chasing my tail trying to narrow down the right cables (interconnects & speaker) for my system. I just placed my order for the 990/7700 combo and I can't keep still waiting for their arrival. Is anyone out there running the PSC's or PCA's and are you totally satisfied. Does anyone have an opinion on the performance of these cables with speakers and subs?

I have some of the Outlaw unbalanced cabling. It's not bad. It's rather expensive (compared to more spartan cable that works just as well), but not nearly as expensive as a number of "audiophile" cables out there. They certainly won't suck and are well made. You might also check out Bluejean cables or do some reading on DIY sites and roll your own (I like to make mine out of Canare mic cable).

For speaker cables, I've always had pretty good results from Canare "star quad" 4S11 cabling, both in single and bi-wire configs. You can buy it in bulk for well under a dollar a foot.

I purchased some balanced and a pair of un-balanced audio cables from Blue Jeans Cable and I am impressed in how well they are made. In the future all my cables will come from them. They make them to order so you can get the length you need. I ordered mine on a weekend and they shipped out on that Monday. I'm currently using all Signal Cables with the exception of my component cable and HDMI cable running from my wall plate to the projector which are Blue Jean Cables. BJ cables are very well built as stated by Daryl and are a very good bang for the buck cable. The thing I like most about BJ cables are they are shipped in the mail so you get them in a couple of days depending on where you are located. If you have the extra funds though, I highly recommend Signal Cables. Frank is an amazing guy and really cool to just shot the crap with. All his cables are handcrafted to your specification and the build quality is amazing. Other than the two BJ cables, everything has been replaced with SC in my H/T room as well as upstairs. I purchased balanced cables from outlaw when I purchased my 990/7500. They are really worth the $$$. I also purchased the rest of my cables from Bluejeans cable. Everything from speakerwire, spdif, 5.1 audio, etc. I do not need beter than that.

I purchased balanced cables from Outlaw and they are well made. My only complaint is that you can't fine tune their length and they are pretty stiff making it a little difficult to manage extra length. I make all my RCA video and audio cables using colored Belden RG59 cable and Steren 75 ohm connectors. IMO making your own cables becomes cost effective if you plan on making cables for you entire HT. This is particularly true if you plan on using the very well made Canare connectors due to the pretty high cost of the tools. Otherwise, the commercial outfits like Bluejean might be the way to go. I have considered making my own balanced cables too using the Canare 4S11 cable and Neutrik (sp?) connectors, but the Outlaw cables are doing a good job.

I bought the 4 X 1.2m analog PCA interconnects pairs from outlaw for $159.00. They replaced Audioquest Copperhead. I am quite happy with outlaw's product.
