Meanegene asked about performance under load for "not real efficient" speakers. I have been using CROWN ES 224's. These are not efficient, as there are 24 old electrostatic elements plus two woofers.
The 7700, just like the 755 is transparent and seems to have plenty headroom. I've not measured SPL's (been meaning to get to ratshack) but sonically it's good and seems like lots of room left when loud loud loud.
