Order a 7700 last week on the 7125 trade in deal. Got the order confirmation email right away but never anything on delivery. In fact I had emailed customer service today asking about the status of my order.

Imagine my surprise today when FedEx shows up with my 7700, just lucky I was home. Wonder where the glitch in the delivery email was? Also there was a marking on the box "B-107", did I get a B-stock item?

Won't be able to make the change out until tomorrow.

mzpro5,

Enjoy your 7700 with the 990. I sure like my 990 with the 7500's clone, the ATI 2005. I ordered my 990 in September and, like your 7700, it showed up without any communication. Fortunately my wife was home and took delivery. I was so happy to receive the pre/pro that I didn't follow up with Outlaw and besides I thought it was an isolated issue. I know they read these posts and maybe they can make sure equipment does not arrive unannounced.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be a glitch. It is just the way Outlaw operates. The exact same thing happened to me except my shipping notice arrived after FedEx had already tried to deliver my 7700 and nobody was home (because Outlaw failed to inform me when it was shipped and give me a tracking #). This was after I specifically requested an email be sent when the 7700 shipped so I could arrange to have somebody accept it. It ended up costing me a couple of hours between being on the phone with FedEx, driving to their terminal, then having their driver finally delivering it after 8:00pm on his way home. Luckily, FedEx was very accommodating in getting me the delivery but it should never have come to this.

I very happy with the amp but am quite disappointed in Outlaw's customer service. In fact, because of their total lack of effort to get me a shipping notice sent before their product arrived I would have second thoughts ordering from them again.

Same happened with me. The stuff just kinda showed up and luckily my wife was home. Some cables actually showed up the morning after I ordered (I ordered in the afternoon on a weekday).

Cheers,

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your feedback, we take your comments and concerns about this very seriously. Tracking information is sent out each business day via the email address that was provided at the time of order. Unfortunately, we receive a significant number of undeliverable emails from mailboxes that have either exceeded their storage capacity or are simply unavailable. In addition, ISP's and email users alike are setting up filters, spam blockers and other such management systems that are aimed at reducing unwanted solicitations. Obviously, none of these systems are perfect and sometimes good email is lost with the bad.

The above not withstanding, we continue to look at ways to improve the speed and efficiency with which we get information out to our customers. However, ensuring consistent and reliable email communication is definitely the most difficult part of what we do as we are forced to rely on variables that extend beyond our control. For those of you who have experienced this we do apologize, but we wish to assure you that your experience was the exception and not the rule. While that may provide little comfort, please know that this thread has only further fueled our fire to find new ways to improve our communication and our support.

Best Regards,

Scott

I got my tracking information email before my amp made it to the door.Ordered the 7500 on a Monday,it was shipped on Weds. and i got the email on the following Tues.,The amp came on Weds...So i got 1 day notice. Now the UPS return label for the 7125 took 2 weeks to get.
The Outlaw Gear is still a great value but the online buying makes it a little more work on exchanges.
The customer support has alway been great!!!

I spoke with Steve and had email from Scott and just a situation of mixed communication. We are all human and make mistakes and I did get the 7700 within a week of ordering.

Now to do some real listening and see what if any difference between the 7700 and the 7125.

"they complain when they do get there it in a timely order."

I'm certainly NOT complaining about the timeframe of my 7700 order but you're damn right I complain when I spend over $2000 on an item and don't get a notice of when it has shipped (even though I specifically requested it on the order and later through their help desk with Steve) so I make arrangements to receive it. Maybe you think we should just sit here and not let Outlaw know of these problems? I would think Outlaw would welcome the feedback so they can address these issues and keep future customers happy.

Given the response above from Scott, one has to believe that what is being discussed here is a reasonably isolated incident, and that rather than hide from the discussion, Outlaw is, indeed, stepping up to the bar to acknowledge it and improve their systems to prevent it from happening again.
