Ok, I thought it was "A".
Anyways, the 990/7700 combo at $2900 is more than I can do, so was thinking about the 990/7125.
All my speakers are B&W.
On the top post, it says "Follow-up details on the Model 990/7125 promotion will be forthcoming as will the Model 7700/7500 product pages."
So does that mean the pricing of the 990/7125 combo will change up/down?

The B&W speakers are 100-125W max, so 200W amp is overkill. Also, all my interconnects are good MIT (rca type), so no need to change over to balanced.
Other than the power and inputs, I wondwer if there would be a noticable difference in the sound quality the 7700 produces over the 7125.

Sounds like the 990/7125 might be just what the doctor ordered for your speakers.

Cheers,

FAUguy, just a note, too much power is better than not enough.b&w 602s are rated at 125w/rms(i think),but that little bird was talking and told me they can handle 1000w CLEAN POWER short term.don't know what speakers u r running but 602s are 3rd from bottom of the line.

Are we sure that these new amps with be made by ATI? Outlaw has used a number of different builders for their gear.

ratpack,

Compare the specs for the 2000 amp in the ATI 3000/2000 Manual and the specs in the 7500/7700 manual. The manuals themselves are very similar too. Also, look at the diagram of the back panels for these amps. Outlaw has not confirmed it, but I don't think there is much doubt that ATI is building the 7500 and the 7700. That fact is terrific.

I have two DM603 (Series 1) L/R speakers rated at 125W max http://www.bwspeakers.com/downloadFile/speakermodel/DM603-DM604_MANUAL.pdf

One CC6 S2 Center rated at 120W max http://www.bwspeakers.com/downloadFile/speakermodel/DONE_--CC6_S2_User_Manuals.pdf

Two DS6 dipole surround rated at 100W max http://www.bwspeakers.com/downloadFile/speakermodel/ACF207.pdf

I am thinking about replacing them with the newer DS6 S3 surrounds because they can be used as dipole and monopole.

They are all the same, but they label them for convenience - it can be helpful to look at the connections six months from now (or six seconds from now) and not have to trace cables back to the processor to figure out which amp channel is getting which channel.

they are made by ati. i want to know if the new amps are in fact IDENTICAL (electronically) to their ATI equivalents? in the past, they were not, as the ATI were fully differential drive and balanced. now the new outlaws are as well. if the ONLY difference is cosmetic, then they are a true bargain.

The (outlaw7700) ATI 2007, which i own and am very pleased with, retails for 3k. of course, this may simply be the difference between direct mail and brick and mortar retail costs.
