Hi - I ordered a 970 this past summer during the great sale, just getting around to setting it up now. For simplicity, all I'm doing is hooking my CD player to it and sending my left and right audio outs to a 2 channel Classe amp. Pretty straight forward.

However when I try to power up the unit - no go. Now I own (and love) a 990 and I know that you use the Source Selector buttons - they don't power on the unit. So I hit the CD button (or any of them) - nothing. I know I'm plugged into a live receptacle and the remote is powered (lights up when I hit any of the keys).


Any suggestions?

Is the little indicator light yellow on the front? I know this sounds dumb, but do you have the master power turned on located on the back of the unit? Another obvous question is did you try pushing the main power on the front of the 970 instead of using the remote? Other than that I am not really sure.

Sorry - as it turns out one of the plugs in my power conditioner/strip was bad. Really dumb of me - I though I had checked that. All is well, though my ego is a bit bruised.
