Does any one have the 970 and Emotiva UPA-7 or LPA-1 Combination? I just purchased a 970 and trying to decide between the following amplifiers
1. Rotel RMB-1075 (understanding that it is just 5 channels)
2. Outlaw 7125
3. Emotiva UPA-7

Emotiva is the least expensive by $400 but has some great reviews for the previous model LPA-1. Wanted to see if there are any other users with this combination and are happy with it.

Thanks

I have my 970 paired to an Emotiva XPA-2 and XPA-5. I am totally happy with this combination. Based on owner reviews of the UPA-7, I don't think you would be dissapointed. It appears that you want to do a 7.1 setup, and in that case,I would totally disregard the Rotel if you are looking for a one amp solution. The Outlaw or the Emo would do just fine.

I'm currently using the Model 990 with the UPA-7 and I couldn't be happier all around. When I purchased the UPA-7 it was on sale but even @ $699 it warrants a look. Both Outlaw and Emotiva both have a 30 day return policy so you could audition both. I had my eye on the 7125 for a LONG time but when I saw Emotiva's UPA-7 @ its price point I couldn't resist even though I didn't know about Emotiva. With the money I saved on the UPA-7 I put towards a getting a 990. I got the best of both worlds IMO.

The UPA-7 is bigger and heavier than the 7125 so be sure that your cabinet or rack can handle either one.
