I performed the firmware upgrade for my 970 some time ago (or thought I had), but I continued to have trouble. When I checked the version number displayed on-screen after pushing Menu-Mute, I saw that it ended in "1215", not "1217" as it should have.

It's taken a while for me to get around to downloading the latest upgrade again, and then hauling the PC over to the A/V system to repeat the upgrade, but I finally did it, and .... still the version number ends in "1215".

What am I doing wrong? I follow the posted instructions, getting the soft "click" when I do the back-panel reset, running the loader, which seems to be satisfied that the update worked. I then do the front-panel reset, as the web page instructions suggest. All for naught - still the old version.

???Any suggestions???
