Do combo orders like the 970/7075 special come with interconnects...or a wire for the trigger to the amp?

The multichannel amps (including the 7075) come with a trigger cable. Interconnects are not included, however.

Thanks Gonk for the speedy reply. If you're not on Outlaw's payroll, they really should send you a monthly check for the customer service you provide. smile

Would these be fine for interconnects?

Those would work, but I like the Canare L-77S for interconnects. You can get these from BlueJeans or I'll make them for cost if you want.

Thanks for the generous offer openhelix! What makes the L-77S better..the shielding?

Chas,

May I suggest you use Ic's with Bullett RCA's as opposed to normal IC's. I really like Singal cables. For you, take a look at Analog 2 with bullets.

Liz

Thanks for the suggestion Liz. The bullets look nice. I did order some cables from monoprice today just for a quick (and cheap) beginning. We'll see how they perform and maybe upgrade in a little while.

I've had the 970/7075 for a couple weeks now, and at first the combo sounded a bit leaner than the 1070(s) I had previously. I don't know if it's the gear or my ears, but things are sounding rich and full now, and the lean sound seems to have disappeared. I know there is debate concerning electronics "break-in", so I'm not making claims one way or the other...just reporting what I hear.

I was toying with the idea of swapping the 7075 for a 7125, but so far the 7075 has provided all the power I've needed.

Chas,
If I remember correctly from our correspondence in the past, your room is similar in size to mine. I've thought of going with the 7125 too, and maybe on some sources the extra oomph would help, but overall I'm pretty satisfied with the 7075.

And our rooms are not exactly what I would call small! I figure if I ever get a pair of less efficient mains I can always pick up a couple of 2200's.

And the monoprice cables seem to be working fine as interconnects for now. Sure can't beat the price.
