Seriously considering the above combo. The speakers are the L100's bought new in the early seventies. No I won't sell them and yes I am taking them with me when I die. I am concerned about the audio portion only. All video is fed directly into the plasma with HDMI cables. The JBL's are very efficient speakers so that is why I am looking at one of the "medium" amps. Was wondering is anyone had any first hand experience using this combo? Any advice/suggestions are greatly welcomed.

I don't have any experience with these speakers, but I wonder if you even need the 7125. How efficient is "very" efficient? If we're talking horn-loaded speakers with an efficiency up around triple digits, you might be equally well off with the 7075. Just something to toss out there...

The L100 is pretty efficient. It's a 3-way bass reflex design and runs somewhere around 93 dB at 1 meter on axis with 1 watt input. Way back when, I used to sell these (among others) when I worked in an audio store.

As I recall, they did well with 50 watts/channel but sounded better with more. 125 per should do just fine.

Sounds like the 7125 would be a slick match-up for those speakers...

Thanks to all!!! Sounds like the 7125 would be ball's on. May upgrade to the 990 however because of what I am reading about the 970's in the forums...

Especially with the current pricing, a 990/7125 combo is a great value.
