I just noticed that there are approximately 10 times the number of posts in the 990 board compared to the 970. Now I understand the 990 is Outlaw's flagship product, but if message thread acivity is any indicator of product sales, is the 990 outpacing the 970 that much? Or are we 970 users not as willing to wax eloquent on our pre/pro? (Apart from the no audio issue. )

Yep, I've noticed that as well.

I would imagine that the "no audio" issue (plus threads concerning other bugs), and the fact that Outlaw hasn't come up with a non-beta solution, has really hurt the sales of the 970.

The 990 is Outlaw's "high profile" processor, which is probably a big part of why it generates more forum traffic. It also has been in production for a bit longer, and discussion of it isn't diluted by a sister product (unlike the 970 which came along behind its sibling the 1070). I don't doubt that the 990 has sold more than the 970, but I do doubt that it's been at a 10-to-1 ratio.

high profile & popularity have their price....
for the last week the 990 thread has been riddle with bozos trying to sell pills and creams...
perhaps they were looking for the ''clock'' thread...
