Hey Guys,

I'm pretty new to the Home Theater Realm, and I am planning on building my new system around the 1050. I was wondering if anyone had comments on the Home Theater Direct Level III "Y" Combo vs the Aperion 5.1 w/ 10" sub. Or any other recs for systems in the +/- range?

Muchas Gracias,
Very Young Gun

Hey YoungGun--

I used the Edge Audio/Aperions (w/ 2 8" subs) for two years until upgrading very recently (including upgrading w/some Outlaw M200s!). I was very happy with this set-up. Upgraded because of larger space. Hard to beat for the price, particularly if you will be using this for music as well. Email me and I can give you some more details.

Regards,
Rich

The 1050 & Aperion 5.1 w/ 10" sub is my exact configuration. I cant say enough good things about it. For the price you MAY be able to match the value of the Aperions but you will not beat it. These are serious speakers that can take everything I throw at 'em ... dont think your comprising here, they are that good. I use them 50/50 for music and HT and each listen reaffirms by decision to buy them.
