Anybody else notice this review that's got a link on Outlaw's site? It would appear to be a new review (dated September 2006), and it's pretty darn complimentary of the 970/7075 combo. Seems pretty fitting with the current sale price on the pair...

Yes, I saw this. The thing I really found interesting was the test bench results that showed the analog bass management crossover is really more like 110hz than 80hz. I haven't yet tested mine, but if this is the case for my unit as well then I am VERY HAPPY since I prefer analog bass management for hi rez audio, but my speakers need a 100hz crossover, at the lowest.

The "full lab results" page shows output at clipping for 1, 5, and 6 channels driven, but not 7. Am I missing something?

It's good to see a big magazine pick up some Internet gear. So many times, this goes unreported by them.

Didn't it seem that the Outlaw reviews in the prominent mags (HT, S&V etc) started showing up around the time that Outlaw started advertising in them?

No, they've been reviewing Outlaw gear for a half dozen years, at least. (The oldest I found in my magazines pile was from "the turn of the century", but I have recycled everything from before then so there might be older ones.)
