I received my projector (Optoma HD72) and am using it with my 970/7125 combo. Right off the lip sync was not sync'd. I have found that the maximum lip sync delay of 200ms is not enough.

I either need to speed up the video feed or slow down the audio.

The video is from an Oppo DVD player out DVI to DVI in on the 970 and from DVI out on the 970 through a DVI to HDMI converter to HDMI in on the HD72.

Any ideas?

I think I remember reading about delay issues (possibly a firmware upgrade?)with the Oppo, but I don't own one. The resident brainiac here, gonk I believe has one maybe he will pipe up. It could be the Optoma too as it has to convert to native rate. I doubt it is the 970 switcher but you could try running directly to the projector and check.

If you need more than 200ms of delay, you'll be hard pressed to find any solution - the 970 is on the high side (I've seen some processors lately offering only 85ms or so), and most folks end up only using about 25ms to 40ms. You may want to make sure you have the Oppo's latest firmware - there have been some fixes made on it. You may also want to look into settings on the projector that may mitigate the amount of video processing it's doing (and thus the amount of video delay it's creating).
