I am curious as to the 970's 2-ch flexibility. Can it do a 5/7-ch output through a DSP or PLIIx for an analog signal? How about from a digital signal.

I know it's blasphemy, but I regularly listen to the radio and CDs in "5ch stereo" mode on my Denon 3300 and my Onkyo in the bedroom. It would be nice to casually listen to the radio through all 7 speakers.

Analog stereo and digital stereo inputs can both have Pro Logic IIx, DTS NEO:6, or 7 channel stereo processing applied.
