Jay H Deputy Gunslinger Registered: 02/06/06 Posts: 12	I tried to search in these forums thinking it's got to have been posted somewhere to no avail. How do I find out what version of software I have in my 970 and how do I find out the latest (other than asking Outlaw itself) version? All this stuff about white flashes and stuff, I haven't noticed anything like that yet, but I've only tried it once and right now, I'm not going through my 970 so I don't think it would affect me right now. gonk Desperado Registered: 03/21/01 Posts: 14054 Loc: Memphis, TN USA	I don't know if I've seen a procedure for displaying the 970's version number (I've seen one for the 990, but it's a different architecture so the procedure is likely to be different). Jay H Deputy Gunslinger Registered: 02/06/06 Posts: 12	I think Outlook lost all new users when they had database problems as reported in this forum. I had to resign up to the Support site here. But anyway, got a response from Scott about the software and also the software that shipped with the 970. Since I posted it here, I thought it appropriate that I post the response that I got and how to get the software version on the unit. ------- Quote: The instructions for performing a system reset on page 42 of your Owner's Manual are the same as determining your software version. However, please note that during step 3, the software version will appear on the OSD (the VFD will contain the message "PRESS (1) TO LOAD DEFAULT"). If you are only trying to determine your software version, do not press 1 on your remote control as this will revert your unit back to factory default settings. The above not withstanding, no units presently in the field have the latest software patch. If you are experiencing the component video white flash anomaly, you may view the SW update instructions at the following URL: http://www.outlawaudio.com/support/970.html Thanks and regards, Scott
