My Dvd player can play a # of formats. How do I scroll through the available audio modes (Digital, analog, 7.1 analog) without going through the setup menu? My previous receiver had a audio button on the remote for this function. It's a pain to use the setup each time. I hope there is a better way.

There are 2 or 3 buttons on the remote control labeled 'DTS'/"Dolby?"/Stereo. Use those to cycle throguh.

These buttons control the audio mode not the input. A DVDA needs to be put on the 7.1 analog input to get all channels. The 970 will go to the digital or two channel input but you have to go to setup to get it to 7.1. Since this is a DVD player, 7.1 is not the default. My Denon receiver had a input mode button to change this setting.

There is a button on the remote labeled "7.1" that will change the 970 to the 7.1 direct input mode.
