I just got new speakers and I am runninig the auto eq , and to me it sounds bad with the sub. I am trying also to see my results of my sweep on the graph but it just goes back to where I leveled the volumes of the receiver and sub to 80db, but it shows the sliders in the results position, I do not remember this working this way when I first got the sms and the results with my older speakers were great, I have been through both guides and I can not get it right,

Here's one thought - have you tried setting the SMS-1 to preset 6 (bypass) to see if the EQ'ing is the problem? If it is, then the best bet might be to run through a manual EQ as described in Outlaw's guide to see if that gets the SMS-1 back in line.
