I just purchased a used 1070 from Audiogon and absolutely love it so far. My only disappointment at this time is that I can't control the volume of the amp with my 5in1 remote from the cable company. Are there any codes I can try at all? I don't need much functionality with this remote other than volume. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

As far as I know, no cable or satellite remotes have included codes for Outlaw products. As such, the cable box's remote will most likely not control the 1070. On the other hand, the 1070's remote will most likely control the cable box and most other devices you have, if that helps any.

That stinks. Ya, I am able to control the cable box with the 1070's remote however, there's a lot of functionality and ease of use that is lost. I think I will look at purchasing a better "learning" remote to use. Thanks for the help.

Get a Logitech Harmony Universal Remote. I have the 880 and it controls everything, including the 1070.
