I noticed yesterday that my cooling fans on my 1070 were not running. I bought this receiver about two months ago from the B-Stock to save a litle money. I would like to know if these fans are supposed to run all the time or just when the receiver reaches a certain temperature. Please let me know something. I will be sending it back for repair or replacement if this is the case.

The fans do not run continuously - they are controlled such that they only run when the temperature inside the unit climbs too high. It's perfectly normal for the fans to not run.

The Outlaw Tech said it should run most of the time. So I don't know if I have a problem or not with it now. The felt the top and its warm and I haven't seen the fans run yet. Although I have my receiver in an open rack and always have a large ceiling fan running in the room.

The receiver has been on all evening the fans never came on.

Okay, there was a miscommunication or understanding on the message that Steve from Outlaw Audio left me. Steve called and said the dan shouldn't run unless the receiver is being pushed really hard. The fan is thermostatically controlled and comes on when need, which Steve didn't have the tempurature that it kicks on.
