Hi,
I am close to ordering the 1070. For musical purposes , I feel the denon 2807 will get eaten alive by the 1070. I say this cause I have listend to higher model Denon AV receivers and found the sound to be dry and not good for music yet great for movies.
I have a Denon 3930Ci Reference DVD player. I can use the Denon Link (Cat-5) to make my life easier yet all the time I have been on this forum, all the times I have posted, my many talks with people who have outlaw amps and have had the 1070 or the 1050, have led me to belive that the 1070 is in a class by itself.
Case is point, the 1070($899) has a Toroidal Power Transformer and the lowest cost Denon AV receiver to have one is $4000(4806CI). Also, the 1070 has all those digital Coax and Toslink inputs. Most receivers , even those that are double the cost of the 1070 have less inputs.
Do not be fooled by HDMI imputs these days and they can CAN'T pass the new HD Audio streams from Blu-Ray movies.
Also, the 1070 can power a 4 ohm load without trouble , proving that the amp is really Good.
Of course the support that Outlaw Audio gives is second to none from my many years being an Audiophile. Let's look at Denon , Ok? Buy a Denon unit from a non Denon Authorized Dealer and the Denon Company will not service your unit or honor the warranty.
I have had the pleasure to speak with Outlaw's Direcor of Sales and Marketing several times and asked so many questions and always got answers. Try doing that with Denon, it will never happen.
I hope this helps you in your decision?
Let me know.
Liz
